ON THE TABLE. Here in Halton Hills, Culture Days is a national event involving a lot of people, places, and all kinds of things to do. Art, music, food, dancing, singing, eating, playing, hiking... you name it, someone is probably holding an event for it during Culture Days. More information can be found at www.culturedays.ca
This past weekend saw of a number of people draw their stories during my event ON THE TABLE: Controlled Collaborative Creative Chaos. It is in the story telling that I find the most meaning. The pictures lead the way to discussions deep in both experience and insight. This drawing journey is teaching me a lot about the perspective of peoples faced with living during a pandemic. All age groups have contributed to this project. I can hardly wait to show off the final piece! Using a picnic table as the base, this gathering place now illustrates the positive, real life experiences of humans living during a pandemic. The finished piece will be auctioned off in February. More on that later.
There are about 50 drawing spots that need to be completed in order to finish the public portion of this art project. STAGE 2 of the booking process is now open for ON THE TABLE, What's that look like? An evening of fun, a few close friends (max 6 people), a PRIVATE 2 Hour BOOKING for a small fee. Think of it like a Adult Paint Night. You will gather around the TABLE at my studio, spend the evening socializing and recording your stories ON THE TABLE. All the art supplies are provided. It's as simple as that! Private bookings are available between 6 pm and 10 pm. Contact Pauline directly to arrange a private sitting. Email: email@example.com
With 50 spots left to finish this masterpiece, I need your help to make this happen. The task is quite simple: gather some friends together, book a session, take a positive experience or memory from during this pandemic, then paint that memory ON THE TABLE. And have a lot of fun in the process!
If you can write your name and manhandle a marker... you've got this!
There is so much to do here in the Hamlet of Glen Williams. You'll find art galleries, antiques, glass blowing, pottery, jewelers, sculptors, and painters. If you get hungry, stop in at the Copper Kettle, Kit's Little Kitchen, The Glen Oven (reservation required). Wander along the Credit River and enjoy the fresh air. Seriously, so much to do! Think day-tripping adventure!
Book a session ON THE TABLE for yourself and a few friends.
A special thank you to: Terra Cotta Foods Ltd for sponsoring this event & donating treats. The very generous product donations from Home Hardware Georgetown, The Sign Shoppe Georgetown, and Thai Massage Toronto have definitely made this event run smoothly! Thank you, thank you, thank you.
